· Not all surveys are recorded at the courthouse.  Deeds are however recorded at the courthouse. 

· Having the corners flagged, does not result in a plat of the property.

· A survey is not required to transfer property in the state of North Carolina, unless the lender or you ask for it.

· All surveys are unique, there is no flat fee to perform a  survey.

· To obtain the most accurate quote for a survey,  YOU need to know the parcel identifier number, lender requirements, type and purpose of the survey, BEFORE calling a surveyor.

· A survey is a report of the facts as they exist at the time the survey is performed.

· The county tax  map is not a substitute for a survey.
